Description
European DP Extract * – a crafted blend of pollen extracts is a specialty dietary supplement designed to relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate infection (prostatitis). Its main ingredient is defined pollen extract – a very specific mixture of pollens from several cereal grasses.
It contains many biologically active compounds such as vitamins (water and fat soluble), minerals, carotenoids, dietary and physiological amino acids, enzymes (including six enzyme classes containing at least 100 different enzymes), lipids, fatty acids, phytosterols, long-chain hydrocarbons, prostaglandins, streptolysin inhibitory factors, flavonoids, and growth regulators, among others.
European DP Extract is a standardized extract, which incorporates a specific ratio of components extracted under low-temperature conditions to bypass the pollen’s natural protective sheath, therefore, increasing its bioavailability.
It has been clinically shown to reduce the enlarged prostate and lower levels of PSA (prostate-specific antigen), an indicator of both BPH and of prostate cancer. It is also a powerful anti-inflammatory, bringing relief for those who suffer from painful conditions such as prostatitis.
Its health benefits can be summarized as follows:
- Reduces the size and relieves symptoms of an enlarged prostate (BPH)
- Reduces discomfort associated with prostate inflammation (prostatitis)
- Lowers PSA levels
- Brings relief of urinary incontinence (in women).
Active Ingredients:
Defined Pollen Extract (1.7-3.7:1). A very specific mixture of pollens from the following cereal grasses:
- Rye Grass (Secale cereale),
- Corn/Maize (Zea mays),
- Timothy Grass (Phleum pratense).
Pollens are the male gametophytes of flowering plants. They are a high energy material containing carbohydrates, fat, protein, and some vitamins and minerals.
The pollen of rye grass (Secale cereale) may affect the male hormone testosterone, relax the muscles of the tube through which urine flows (urethra), and improve how well the bladder can force urine out.
Rye grass pollen extract has been found effective for symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) including increased urinary frequency, increased nighttime urination, constant feeling of needing to urinate, dribbling, painful urination, and decreased urine flow rate.
Corn (Zea mays) pollen is a concentrated, energy and vitamin rich food. Traditionally, corn has been used as an analgesic, anti-diarrheal, anti-prostatic, antitumor, antihypertensive, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
Timothy grass (Phleum pratense) pollen contains several flavonol glycosides, among them dactylin (isorhamnetin-31,4-diglucoside). Stored sterile timothy extracts arrested the growth of Sarcoma 45 and other tumor types.
